Photographing Nepalese Teej Festival, NWGN New England, 2022

I had the distinct privilege of photographing the Nepali Women’s Global Network, New England Chapter’s Teej Festival this past weekend. It was such a pleasure to celebrate the vibrant women in the community. I was asked to set up a photo booth and take portraits of the participants, which was great fun and resulted in 249 portraits of the wonderful women who attended the event! Below are 30 to share…

One year ago this week, I was in Chennai on our annual family visit. I had the privilege and honor of giving and artist talk to a small audience as part of the programming for Chennai Photo Biennale. “Kalacharam” show at The Griffin Museum of Photography – Oct 6 – Nov 27

So honored and excited to have three bodies of work on show at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, MA from October 6-November 27. “Kalacharam” (Culture) is comprised of three bodies of work: The Bindi Collection, The Third Eye, and Morning Poetry. Opening night reception is October 6 from 7:00 pm – 8:30.
